May Goals // stephanieorefice.net

Happy Friday, everyone. This weekend I’m out at camp with a bunch of teenagers from my church for a Bible Bowl competition! Wish us luck 🙂

It’s time for May Goals. It’s a little tiny bit heartbreaking to look at my April Goals, so I’m not going to recap them. Despite April looking NOTHING like I’d imagined it to look, I was pretty successful at sticking to my goals. Just trust me. Let’s move forward and not look back because I’m not going backwards.

In honor of 5 on Friday, I’m only doing 5 May goals.

  1. Stay caught up on my Bible in 6 month reading plan
So far I’ve been doing a really great job, a month into it. I’m using a plan on the YouVersion app, and I LOVE being able to check things off of my phone so I am not relying on a piece of paper tucked into my big Bible.
  2. Send 10 pieces of mail
My friends have been so kind and so gracious to me, and I want them to know how much I love and appreciate them.
  3. Lose 5 pounds
I recently realized that my slow and steady weight loss has added up to a pretty big number, and I want to be intentional about keeping the momentum going.
  4. Redeem my Swagbucks
I currently have 12,046 Swagbucks… enough for $120 in gift cards! I’m on a big debt repayment mission (more on that later) and I want to figure out how to use my Swagbucks in a useful way. Have you ever used Swagbucks? I swear by it.
  5. Read a book
One of my last month’s goals was to read a book… but let’s be real. I’ve spent all month being so incredibly busy that I haven’t stopped to read anything other than my Bible, but this month I want to slow down.

  1. I sent an email today saying that I had plans that April wasn’t going to be a good month–and it turned out it wasn’t–but not at all in the way I intended. I’m all for April just being put behind me—hellooo May. <3

    1. i’m excited to send you a letter tomorrow so i’ll leave much of it for that. however. may is upon us, and i vote we love the heck out of it.

    1. hey colletta! thanks for stopping by! you and i are opposites – i have such a hard time when i’m not working for a goal like i do when i have a bible reading plan! but all that matters is that you’re digging into the Word of God. that’s ALL that matters!!

  2. Dangggg girl. 12,000 swag bucks? How long did that take?! I’m at 100-something right now! And have a great weekend at camp with the kiddos! 🙂

    1. thanks julie! we had a BLAST and did so well in our competition! i just scheduled a blog post ALL about how i earn swagbucks – but mostly i just make it a DAILY part of my internetting. it’s so routine that i don’t even really pay attention to the swag bucks and then suddenly i’m like… i have HOW MANY!?

  3. Hello from the Hey It’s Friday link up! Your May goals are on point. I am doing a yearlong reading plan through She Reads Truth and LOVE being able to check readings off on my phone as well. It’s also the only reading I did during April. Hopefully May will bring more reading and more happy.

Good luck with the teenagers this weekend. My husband is a youth director so we spend 3 weeks of the summer with the teenagers at camp. The greatest and sometimes hardest weeks of our year!

    I’m glad I found you!

    1. hey kelsey!!
i’d actually started to do the SRT read through the bible study but was too snotty about wanting to read straight through… and then it was april and i was still stuck in genesis and something had to change so i found a new plan that is mostly straight through but a chapter or two from the new testament and i LOOOVE it!!!

more reading probably ALWAYS equals more happy 🙂

and summer camp. the best thing in the world! glad you get to do that<3
