Coffee talk: five on friday

I’m about to coffee talk, which means you should know what I’m about to write:

I AM FREAKING TIRED, Y’ALL! Hello, I’m Stephanie and I’m freaking tired all the freaking time these days.

So much so that I haven’t even stressed about not having blog posts scheduled. I’m too tired to even say anything, ever. haha. But here are some things, okay?

ONE // MATT NATHANSON

On Monday, Mei-Ling and I saw Matt Nathanson. I have loved him so very much for the past eleven years. There was this moment when he looked at me and got this huge, giant smile on his face. It was weird… I actually looked around to see who he was smiling like that at. UM IT WAS ME. When we got up to see him after the show, he was SO EXCITED to see us, and even commented how he saw us from the stage. It just made my heart smile. You know how my blog used to be called “Just a little bit louder”? That’s taken from a Matt Nathanson song (one of my all-time fave songs).

Look at how far we’ve come…

I just love him so very much!

TWO // SHOPKICK

Have you guys heard of the Shopkick app? I’m just now trying it out… It’s an app that you use in-stores for points that can be redeemed for gift cards. For example, I can get 35 kicks (aka points) just for walking into Safeway and opening the app. There’s a list of products that I could choose to scan the barcodes of for kicks (right now there’s one to get 15 kicks for scanning any Jennie-O Breakfast Sausage product). The kicks add up and can be redeemed for gift cards. I’ve only just started using it, and I have 422 kicks. For 500 kicks I could get a $2 Target gift card; for 1,250 I could get a $5 Starbucks gift card. Pretty cool for just making sure to open the app and scan some things when I’m at the store! If you have my phone number and you’re interested, send me a text and I’ll invite you (I get kicks for that, too… just saying! I just don’t want to be the obnoxious person who invites everyone to all the things).

THREE // LETTER ME LOVED DESKTOPS

Oh my heart… Letter Me Loved has released desktops for November. I’m absolutely in love with both of them… I’m not sure which one I’ll choose. Maybe I’ll save one for my MacBook and one for my work computer. I’m smitten. Head over and download yours (and then come tell me which one you went with, because maybe that will help me decide!)

FOUR // COMFY CLOTHES

This is my at-home, non-pajama uniform. I literally wear it every single moment I am in my house and not asleep.

Fuzzy socks, Lauren Conrad leggings + a Victoria’s Secret PINK pullover I got for like $4 at a thrift store. Currently wearing it RIGHT NOW. Also, speaking of VS. I have $20 on a gift card for Victoria’s Secret that I keep meaning to spend. I feel like I can’t buy anything until I’ve cleaned out my drawers. I attempted to take bags of clothes to Plato’s Closet… they kept 15 things and gave me $38. womp womp. I’m thinking of doing ThredUp – anybody have any feedback on that?

  1. I’ve been using Shopkick for a few years now & love it! I had built up my points & cashed in for $50 worth of gift cards to buy a TV once. But, then I read some reviews & people were getting banned from the app for really no reason whatsoever. Thankfully that hasn’t happened to me but now I cash in my points sooner just in case.

  2. Uh girl I can see why Matt was looking at you…your hair is perfection in that picture! Once again I’m so so so jealous you met him! I got Shopkick a few years ago but stopped using it after a while.

Ohhh and yes ThredUp. I took BAGS AND BAGS of clothes to both Plato’s and Buffalo Exchange one day…they took like 8 things total between them and gave me like 40ish bucks. I sent back one ThredUp bag (and I’ve had to order two more to fit the stuff I have) and they took like 5 or 6 things (and a few they even said had a “tiny flaw” but still took them) and I made $34.07. It takes a long time for them to process it, tell you how much you made, and then they hold your earnings hostage for a while (in the hopes that you get impatient and just use it as credit to buy stuff on their site) but anyway I’m glad I took a chance and sent stuff in! My second bag is processing and I haven’t filled and sent in my third bag yet.

  3. I love this post! Comfy clothes are a must at our house. We insist that anyone who walks through the door have a backup pair of comfy sweatpants and a hoody. We like to chill and watch Netflix, and plus, with a baby, I can’t be getting all gussied up every day. It’s just not gonna happen. #notaninstagrammom #dontcare
Also, mojo? Yes. I’m missing mine too. Quite a lot. I’ve been scheduling posts on days that I have a lot of creativity so that I’m not missing a lot of days in a row, but it’s still really hard.
