Surviving Snow Days

uncategorized

OH MY GOSH I HATE SNOW SO MUCH.

There’s nothing I like about it. It’s cold, it’s wet, it’s inconvenient, it’s dangerous, and ugh. I ventured out to attempt to make a snowman, which is infinitely harder than anyone ever told me. But alas it was on my 101 in 1001 list, so I had to make one. Apparently this picture makes it look a lot bigger than it really is.

I’ve been snowed in for… I don’t even want to count the days. Here’s what I’ve been doing and how I’ve been surviving.

For the most part, I’ve been camped out on the couch, under a heated blanket, drinking coffee and watching The Office.

Justen got me the new Rachel Cruze book, Love Your Life Not Theirs for Christmas, so now that I’ve finished reading The Total Money Makeover, I’m on to this one. I’m alternating between that and Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets. At the Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale, I picked up these really cozy socks. They’re not my normal fuzzy cozy socks but oh my goodness they keep my toes warm! The cold is also waging war on my face and my hands, so I’m using my most favorite scented hand cream, the Victoria’s Secret Pink Warm & Cozy. It moisturizes my hands and makes me smell so… cozy. 😀

I’m dreaming of summer just like my favorite little snowman, Olaf. but until then, I’m dreaming of Valentine’s Day 🙂 Speaking of Valentine’s Day, I already have my eye on some ultra cute Valentine’s Day mugs at Target. I tend to go all out on February 15th stocking up on Target’s post-Valentine’s Day clearance.

Stay cozy, friends.

  1. I used to say that I like to live in places with definitive seasons. But after all the snow this winter in Spokane and having to literally dress like an eskimo to walk the dog every day I’ve had a change of heart. Especially when my family back in South Carolina is having breakfast on their porch at Christmas…. Besides you can always go somewhere to enjoy the snow. Hold in there sister. Summer is surely coming!

    1. i cannot wait for the summerrrrrr. i feel like our winters here in the northwest have been even more extreme (though idk about spokane, i guess mostly in the portland area) and that’s what sucks. i got bait and switched ;D
