Two random things on Tuesday.
Let me just say this: there might not have been a TWOsday post today except Brittany tweeted about it and I thought, “well crap. I don’t want to be letting people down.”
But then if I don’t even have two completely random things to say, maybe my blogging break is more like a blogging hibernation and I should just get fat and cozy and find a cave and come out in the spring.
So here they are, my friends.
ONE // PORTLAND’S BEST RESTAURANTS
Yesterday I picked up someone from the airport who is going to be serving at my work through the holiday season, and my pastors gave me the task of picking out the restaurant for dinner. I was really frustrated because sitting in my room was the following book:
Sometimes it’s hard to think of good places to eat in a place you frequent, because I usually stick to comfort and convenience. This book is like a little bucket list of places to eat in the city I spend most of my time in. I’ve only been to one of the places (Tin Shed, and that was awhile ago) and I’d only heard of 2 of the others (Le Pigeon and Pok Pok). I love that this book gives you an idea of what to expect – it describes what the menus are like and the seating atmosphere. As someone who likes trying new things but is also a little terrified by the unfamiliar, this book is perfect for me.
If any of you are in the Portland area… let’s try some new restaurants. Looking at you, Mattie.
TWO // UNSPLASH
So if you’re a blogger or a digital creative you should already be on Creative Market. It’s etsy, but for digital goods. and every week they post 6 free items. Fonts, vectors, graphics, sometimes even blog templates… it’s brilliant and you need to join. BUT. You should also know about Unsplash. They post BEAUTIFUL pictures that are free for you to use. I mean like… BEAUTIFUL. Like I want to cry because some of them are so beautiful. Hey bloggers… you’re welcome.
Link up your TWOsday posts here (and I promise that from here on out even if I’m in a state of extreme hibernation I’ll at least poke my head out every Tuesday).

I received a product in this post in exchange for a review through my participation in Tomoson. All opinions are my own.
You read my mind! Yes, let’s go to delicious new Portland restaurants, please!!!
I’m mad that you’re moving to Portland after I moved away.
I know! We could’ve all three gone to fun new restaurants together! 🙁
Seriously. I wrote a Twosday post last week and couldn’t even link up!
Creative Market and Unsplash are great!
