World’s most awkward first date.

On a whim, I decided to stop by Starbucks to catch up on life. You know, respond to e-mails and write blog posts and stuff. I came in ready to conquer the digital world.

Little did I k now, I was positioning myself to be right next to two REALLY UNCOMFORTABLE situations.

To my left was a guy that kept unzipping his pants.

but to my right, you guys.

TO MY RIGHT was probably the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE first date IN THE ENTIRE WORLD.

I live tweeted the whole thing but I didn’t want you guys to miss out on the fun, so I screen capped my tweets to share right here on my blog.

You are all so very welcome.

It was so weird. I kept wanting to see if she needed an “emergency” phone call where she had to run, or if she was at all annoyed by his really cocky attitude. and more than anything else, I had really hoped to be able to see how they parted ways. A hug and pleasant words? Perhaps no hug and an uncertain understanding of what happened next? Would she be excited? Oh man. I just wanted to know SO BADLY, but I decided to go to church instead.

Have you guys ever witnessed a weird first date? The worst part of this one is that I couldn’t figure out if the girl was just being polite or if she was really into him. To each their own, but the guy was freaking CRAZY!

Ahh, it totally stinks that you couldn’t see how it ended!! I’m SOOO curious about what went on in the girl’s mind! WOW!

In university a group of us were out to dinner one night and sat across from a man and a women. For the life of us we could not figure out if they were father and daughter or if they were a couple on a first (or one of their first) dates! This was almost four years ago now and I still think about the weird interactions we witnessed!

I have been on my fair share of awkward first (and only!) dates!

WAIT THIS GUY IS SUCH A WEIRDO. “I don’t have friends” and then “Do you do anything social?” Ummm, excuse me? Also “I don’t like to talk about myself” but ALL HE DOES is talk about himself. Yikes.

Do you think we’ll be able to experience one of these at Lionheart? Or hopefully our blate isn’t an awkward live-tweetable first blate…yikes! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hahaha this is a crazy world now-a-days… I kind of am glad I was not dating when social media was around… he sounds like a real winner LOL

Best part was when he talked about the right side of her smile. Like, what?! Makes me think of that awful MTV show where people went on bad first dates and got paid based on how long they could stick out the awful… haha, poor girl.

  14. November 19, 2015 / 9:58 am

LOL this is so crazy! I don’t know how you even kept enough composure to live tweet it! I would have been doubled over laughing the whole time.

  15. November 19, 2015 / 10:02 am

This was hilarious. Did she even speak? I’m going to now spend all weekend sitting in coffee shops hoping to witness something half as entertaining.

  16. November 19, 2015 / 11:16 pm

Bahaha. First dates are the WORST but this one is even more awful than normal!

  17. November 20, 2015 / 8:00 am

Oh. My. Goodness. I just really want to know how the girl was responding to all of those sentences!!!

  18. November 23, 2015 / 7:54 pm

How crazy! I love that you live tweeted it, so entertaining! I walked into a restaurant where people were meeting on a blind date and it was pretty awk but I didn’t hear as much of it as you did this one!

  19. November 28, 2015 / 12:33 am
