i just love sending people things. it is really great. and who in their right minds doesn’t love RECEIVING things in the mail? i signed up to do a blog swap with casey, danielle and  alycia.

and i was paired up with leslie from top of the page. we exchanged a few e-mails and i was really excited to see what she sent. there was no real “theme” – just sending something you thought they would like.

when i opened my big yellow package, i pulled this out. i have a thing with my  name. not that i think it’s the greatest name or anything, but it’s mine. and when i get a text message where someone types my name or when someone says “goodbye, stephanie!” at the end of the phone call.. oh man. it just makes me feel loved and known. so pair the excitement of seeing my name with the excitement of seeing my name with a heart-dotted i… i was BEAMING.

so then. i pulled out what leslie sent made me, inspired by my personality. if i was beaming earlier, then i don’t know what word happens next up the scale of happiness permeating from your core. radiating, perhaps? i know that i’d said i was over posting pictures of things on this shelf, but i immediately ran to my room and placed this on my beloved shelf.
 

 

how fantastic is that? it is in my list of favorite things, ever. but that is not even it. knowing that it is chillier up here than in california {you’re telling me! i’ve been battling the winter blues} leslie sent me two pairs of knee high socks to keep me warm.

so naturally i put on the pink ones and felt that wearing knee high socks gave me full permission to bust out my favorite sleepshorts with hearts on them in honor of the upcoming holiday.

 

thank you leslie for the wonderful, wonderful gifts. thank you SO MUCH.

and i also want to point out that leslie created an online shop selling her art, like what she made for me. and i hope you all go and add some of leslie’s love to your room. because it is the first thing i see when i walk into my room and it fills my heart with happiness. 🙂
