Tis the Season for John Mayer lyrics! For the past 10 or so years, I’ve felt a deep sense of security in the months of November – March. Thanks to a little song called “St. Patrick’s Day” by John Mayer. So much so that I do not really know the month “November,” but I instead call it “No Way November.” It’s coming soon.
Until then I have the great little “when autumn comes, it doesn’t ask…” quote from Something’s Missing. John Mayer, despite your tendency to overspeak, you speak well when you have to.
Moving on.
Yesterday {and today a little} we had a garage sale. So weird to let people walk in and poke through our lives. Lots of pink, in case you were wondering. We had some repeat customers. One lady even came back again today for a third time! We gave her the remainder of the clothes and threw in as much stuff as she wanted.
Walked away with about $100, and a lot less stuff. Â My mom needed to go to the mall, so I went with her. To show her what a pair of TOMS look like, because the only thing I’ve asked to receive for Christmas are these bad boys:
We also went in Victoria’s Secret {they didn’t have that cute pajama set I posted earlier that I probably would have purchased immediately if I’d seen it}. and New York & Co, where my mom managed to spill a Diet Coke all over the floor. That Diet Coke kept us out of Forever 21 and their no food/drink store. We stopped by Payless. and I fell in love with these:
But I’m a thrift store kind of girl, and $30 for those shoes was too unjustifiable. So I put them back, waved goodbye and we departed.
Then, Old Navy called. I’m not a huge Old Navy fan. I typically spend 2.5 minutes in Old Navy, the amount of time it takes to slowly walk to the back of the store, back to the front, and out. We were leaving their clearance area when I saw with my two little eyes the most amazing thing in the world. For $14. In my size. and I left with them. Check it:
Then we stopped at the gas station and I bought a bag of chips for $5 because we were having burritos and didn’t have tortilla chips. Who does that?
Lots to pray for tonight, so I’m going to bed before I’m too tired to do that.
