Happy freaking Tuesday, everyone.
I’m trying so hard to get on top of this blog.
I have a little editorial calendar.
Sometimes I sit down to work on things.
and yet… I’m always kind of panicked about it. Uggghhhhh.
Let’s get on with the two random things.
ONE // HIKING
This past weekend, I FINALLY got to go on a hike. Earlier this year I went on a girls hike to Elowah Falls, but this time my friend Phillip and I went down to the falls and then up to McChord Creek Falls. It was an overcast morning and it was PERFECT for a hike. It had been way too freaking long since I was outside, and I’ll post all of the pictures later but for now just know that it was just what I needed.
TWO // PUMPKIN SPICE CREAMER + THINKING OF CHRISTMAS
About halfway through my last round of Whole30, I discovered that I could make pumpkin spice creamer. Once I decided to go at it again, I KNEW I would need to always have a jar of it on hand. I discovered that a different kind of coconut milk was creamier than the first one I used, which made the creamer ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE CREAMER. It is absolutely perfect, you guys.
A can of coconut milk, 1/4th cup of pumpkin puree and about 1/2 tbs of pumpkin pie spice. Blend. Adjust all of those to your own taste.
and then to really make it Pinterest-worthy, you could  throw on a chalkboard label, like these from Chef’s Boutique. They come in a variety of shapes and they come in a 48 pack WITH a chalkboard marker.
Have you guys ever heard of Advent Conspiracy? It’s a movement to keep Christmas simple. Spend less, invest more. Make more of your gifts and give experiences. I am all over this, you guys. and I’m so excited to have these Chef’s Boutique chalkboard labels to keep the DIY feeling alive and well with my gifts. I have a pinterest board full of gift ideas. I’m thinking that the whole “gift in a jar” thing is going to be my theme – maybe sugar or coffee scrubs, cookie mix in a jar, stuff like that. Have you stumbled upon any cool DIY gifts? Christmas seems to be months away, but if you’re going to be making all of your gifts it’s definitely not too early to start gathering your supplies.
These chalkboard labels are my favorites. I’m ready to go on a chalkboard label spree, but for now I’m saving them for Christmas gifts and have started by upping the Pinterest level on my Whole3o Approved Creamer 🙂
Link up your TWOsday posts if you have ’em! (sorry it’s late!)

I received a product in this post in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.Â
Ohh that creamer sounds perfect! I bought labels that look exactly like that (also on Amazon) for the hot chocolate bar at the wedding!
Thanks for sharing! I’m really into this linkup-it’s great! I saved those chalkboard labels on my amazon wishlist! & FYI I did nothing but listen to Ernie’s album on Spotify last night- it was so lovely! He has me as a fan for sure… so gentle and beautiful!

I gave bags of rum infused cherries to the guys in my family/friends (and some baked good to the non-drinker and underage) a few years ago. I was thinking of doing an adult hot chocolate mix in a jar (again, with Godiva instead of alcohol for an alternative) this year.
I super love those labels. Makes me want to get all crafty and crap. 🙂
One year I DIY’ed every single one of my gifts. I think I was in college and had absolutely no money. It was a lot of work, but everyone really loved their one-of-a-kind presents. I went back to my old blog and found the post that shares all of the DIY gifts, but I’m waaaay too embarrassed to paste it here. I can email it to you if you want, though, haha. – Jenny
My roommate and I are subscribing to the “Christmas gift in a jar” idea this year. Forreal. It’s thoughtful and good for the budget.
