A few weeks ago I wrote about how the winter makes my skin itchy. You know what else the winter does? It makes my throat sore. Breathing in all of the cold air just does my throat in. When I was given the opportunity to try out these Pine Bros throat drops, I was like YES PLEASE! I expected to get one little container of them, but when I opened up the package I saw that the kind people at Pine Bros had HOOKED ME UP. 3 bags, 3 little containers AND a reusable tote? Yeah I’m down with that.
As I looked into Pine Bros, I discovered they kind of have a little bit of a cult following, and despite having been around for so long I had never heard of them. It turns out the company was sold a few times and was only just reacquired by the creator of Airborne, and now they’re back in business.
My dad has this crazy, kind of funny habit of calling cough drops candy. If we’re in church he’ll lean over and ask me if I want a piece of candy, offering me a cough drop. But these throat drops… I had to remind myself that they were not extra-chewy fruit snacks, because they taste amazing. I’m used to hard cough drops, but these are exactly what they are advertised as – softish throat drops. They weren’t fruit snacks, but they were definitely a little chewy.
I was so glad I chose this flavor, though I will probably buy the other kinds once I run out of these. It’s not often that I get to sample a product I love so much it becomes a regular part of my life, but these Pine Bros softish throat drops will absolutely become a staple when my throat starts getting itchy.
So I’m curious: Have you ever heard of Pine Bros before this? I can’t figure out if I’ve been living under a rock or if they were really just a great-kept secret!
ps. this picture is 2014, day 34 🙂
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
I’ve never heard of them. Curious about the great taste. Do they taste mentholly? I can’t deal with menthol cough drops, even though I often have a sore or dry throat in the winter. I miss those cherry cough drops I had when I was a kid… they came in a box with a penguin on them!
hi! they don’t have a menthol taste at all!! i still have a bag left – i’d be willing to send it to you so you can try it! e-mail me stephanieorefice @ gmail.com 🙂
