Project Beautiful // Peter Lamas review

uncategorized

I am just one of many voices saying this, but we as women are not reassured of our beauty as much as we should be. We are constantly told that we need to be more this and less that and we are constantly feeling like we are just not enough. It becomes easy to buy into the lie that there is so much more we have to do before someone – ourselves, even – could believe we are beautiful.

But the truth is that we are beautiful, no matter what they say. Words can’t bring us down. and all jokes & Christina Aguilera lyrics aside, we really need to hear it and believe it more.

Project Beautiful [website / facebook] is focused on helping women learn about their internal and external beauty, and they were kind enough to send me a wonderful package of Peter Lamas beauty products to review. and to help me indulge my external beauty. 🙂

Peter Lamas Soy & Baobab Oil Hydrating Shampoo & Conditioner  //
The first thing I did upon opening my package was tear open the shampoo and conditioner so I could smell them. I love the earthy, natural scent. It’s refreshing and luxurious without being overwhelming.

What I especially loved about the shampoo was that it didn’t take much to work up a lather, which means it will last a long time. Even when rinsing out coconut oil {which is SUPER STUBBORN at times} I only needed a small amount of shampoo to get my hair coconut oil-free. The lather was heavenly.

The conditioner was just as great; the normal amount I use on my hair ended up being too much, so it definitely is going to last me longer than most conditioners of the same size. My hair seems to be stronger and smoother since I started using it.

Peter Lamas Exfoliating Pumpkin Facial Scrub  //
This year I’m enjoying the changes in the season more than ever, so when I read the word “pumpkin,” my heart pretty much skipped eighteen beats. The scent is to. die. for. The scrubby bead things are just right; my face feels soft and squeaky clean without feeling dry.

Peter Lamas Sheer Zinc Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30  //
Moisturizer is SO EXPENSIVE, amiright? Because of that, I usually just buy the small travel sized jars of Pond’s, so having a full-sized product has MADE MY LIFE. I use it every time I wash my face. The one complaint I have is that it’s a bit more liquidy than I’d like, but that might just be in my head since it works amazing. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave my face greasy or oily.

Thank you so much to Peter Lamas and Project Beautiful!
