A Year of Challenge: September

uncategorized

Right now, on December 28th I imagine that on September 1st you’re going to go on some huge shopping spree and blow all of the money you saved in August. MAYBE August helped you cross off #52 – have $1,000 in savings. That would be so smart of you if you did that….. just saying.

So far this year, the challenges have included: the clothes you wear, the people you don’t like, the things that make you happy, the ways you can encourage people, the late night snacks you don’t need, the money you could save and now we’re going to tackle the sleep you don’t get.

For the month of September, no using technology for the hour before bed. This is going to take some planning. Get a non-phone alarm clock. Keep your computer somewhere other than your room. Charge your phone somewhere else every night. Pick a bedtime and spend the hour before bed doing something that isn’t glancing at a bright screen. Read a book, write letters, pray, do a puzzle… but don’t do any of it with a computer/phone/TV near you. Embrace the quiet.

September: Tech-free hour before bedtime for a month.
