At the beginning of the summer, I attempted to read the Bible in 90 days. It was… um, a lot. I forgot that I read the Bible for my job (not that this counts as personal devotional time, but it was SO HARD to be so split on a plan that needed so much attention). I made it through Lamentations before I had to shelf it.
IÂ decided that come January 1st, 2015 I will be reading through the Bible before the end of 2015.
A few people had mentioned it on The Peony Project, and I threw out the idea of us keeping each other accountable and encouraging each other. People were down with it, so I decided to make this page for my own personal accountability AND to invite other people to share their journeys, too.
I’m going to be following the She Reads Truth 365 Days of Truth plan, but here are some other great plans you could follow if you’re interested in joining along:
- Bible in a Year (from beginning to end)
- Absolutely BEAUTIFUL monthly printablesÂ
- 25 days of reading a month (with 5 days of catching up for each month)
- 52 weeks (one per week:Â Episles, The Law, History, Psalms, Poetry, Prophecy, Gospels)
- 1:3 reading plan (it will take you through the Old Testament once and the New Testament 3 times)
- The Bible in Bubbles (there’s no plan to this, but I LOVE the printout)
- Stephanie Orefice @ justalittlebitlouder
- Rachel McAllister @ Choose Happy
- Jayme Carruthers @ Simple, Always, Forever
- Ashley Davis @ The Ashley Davis Project
JANUARY LINK UP
This linkup will be open all month long so you can see what other people are reading. Stop by and add any and all posts about what you’re reading and how your plan is going. February 1st, there will be a new link up.
Yay! I’m going to do it. 🙂 My husband & I want to read it. We just need to have a plan.
yay!!! did you find a plan??
Yeah! We are just using one off the YouVersion Bible app.
sweet!! is it genesis – revelation or one that works through different parts at once?
Can we FaceTime and do a bible study together?????????? Say yessssss
ummmm YES PLEASE. actually like legitimately yes. when works best for you?
I want in on this!!! 🙂
I am using the SRT Bible Reading Plan. I haven’t written a post about it yet though, so nothing to link up. Maybe later in the year! 🙂
yay!!! how is it going for you so far? I was going to use that one but I really want to read front to back, so I’m going with one of the plans I linked to up there.
I really like it. I’ve tried reading front to back before and I found it a little hard. It’s nice to be able to hop around in the bible.
I once heard a speaker say that we need to read the Bible with one foot always in the gospels so we don’t lose sight of Christ. I spent a lot of time as a teenager/young adult reading the new testament so I personally crave going through the old testament straight through. its great that there are plans for everyone, you know? so that way we can all figure out the best way to keep at it. have you stayed caught up? I’m a little behind as of right now, but doing 2 days each day will catch me up in no time 🙂
I’m all caught up right now, but this morning I had to read today’s and yesterday’s passages.
What’s an SRT plan? 🙂
It’s the She Reads Truth bible reading plan. shereadstruth.com
Oh duh! Lol. I downloaded that app but didn’t end up picking that plan.
Haha! Are you doing the current John plan?
No. We are just doing a bible in a year plan off the YouVersion Bible app.
Awesome!
I am doing this, too, and I’m using a reading plan that takes me through OT, NT, and the deuterocanonical texts!
I’m so excited to join in on this!!! My post finally went live today, so I linked it up above. Last year I started a Chronological reading plan, but I’m not finished with it yet. I’ve decided to keep working my way through it! Thank you so much for hosting this!
How can I sign up for the February 1st Linkup?
Are you still planning to host the monthly link up? I just finished the plan I was working on!!!! 🙂 Thank you so much for encouraging me to pick it back up and to stick with it. 🙂
I’d love to start participating! Where do I sign up?
