Today I have a special treat for you! The girls of Letter Me Loved (you should be familiar with their name around these parts by now!) are taking over my blog. They’re my kind of people – using words from songs to inspire and encourage. I’m all about them, and I hope you’ll jump on board!  –Stephanie

Bind My Wandering Heart | Letter Me Loved

O to grace how great a debtor
Daily I’m constrained to be
Let that grace now, like a fetter,
Bind my wandering heart to Thee
Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for Thy courts above.

– Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing

We sing the lyrics of this song and it hits us every time. We’re wanderers. We’ve seen the heights of God’s goodness. We’ve experienced the depths of His love. And our lives have been forever changed by His unending grace. Yet, we still get distracted.

Before we even know it, our hearts are wandering off to pursue the things of this world: jobs, relationships, accomplishments, beauty, wealth, Netflix, chocolate. None of which is inherently evil, but all fail to satisfy.

Trust us, it’s certainly not intentional. We’ve experienced firsthand the stress and hopelessness of taking our eyes off the cross. But we need reminders – daily, hourly, moment by moment – of Jesus’ amazing grace, that saves us and sustains us. Because we know that when we view the world through grace-tinted glasses, it changes everything.

That’s why we created Letter Me Loved, to encourage and inspire Christ-followers through hand lettering and design and to help bind wandering hearts to Him by creating daily reminders of grace. We’re two friends – Jenny and Sarah – who took a huge leap of faith to pursue our dreams and use our talents for His glory. You can read our full story here if you wish.

Letter Me Loved 2016 Calendar

Our first product is a 2016 Reminders of Grace calendar that features 12 months of hand-lettered hymns on a watercolor background. We chose hymns because so many – like Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing – have stopped us in our tracks. These songs that have been passed down from generation to generation are Scripture-filled reminders of a God who deserves our praise.

In the upcoming months we plan to add more to our little shop, including prints, greeting cards, recipe cards and some fun extras. All are meant to encourage and inspire you in your walk with Christ. Please come visit us over at the Letter Me Loved blog and shop. We love to make new friends!

Love,
Jenny & Sarah

Have you ever felt prone to wander? What hymn speaks to you?
