2014, week 3: boot camp

uncategorized

I spent the past week in Northern California at Mt. Hermon for a Salvation Army youth worker’s retreat. It was a week full of healing, laughing, and learning.

Day 15. Night Lights.
So Claire and Taylor were coming to visit, and on their way stopped at Starbucks and brought me back an iced beverage. and it was an iced HOLIDAY CUP! WHAT!!! My mind was ABSOLUTELY BLOWN. I spent a winter in California and don’t remember that happening; is this a new thing? Either way, I LOVED IT and it was so great for my spirit. 🙂

This was what I came ‘home’ to. We had a porch and everything; so incredibly cozy! I wish I was spending a week just sitting in the cabin, drinking a lot of tea and spending a lot of my time being aimless.

Day 17. ‘Home.’
The theme for Boot Camp was ‘home’ and while I hadn’t been excited about leaving mine, I returned with a heavy heart because it was a week full of unexpected conversation and rejuvenation. Also all of our little notebooks had a picture of us that they had taken from our Facebook profiles. Which we thought was coolpy. That’s cool and creepy put together. 🙂
