So this is the new year.. and I don’t feel any different {01.01.13}

uncategorized

The past few days have frustrated me, with everybody holding their breath and missing the last few days of December because they just wanted to start over. But really, every moment is the opportunity to start over. Waiting for a new year, new month, new week, or even a new hour is wasting time.

Since May, I’ve been slowly (VERY SLOWLY, people) losing weight. Some days I forget that I’m slowly losing weight (no really) and I’ll eat 4 cookies with my coffee and I fight the temptation to call the whole day a bust, be gluttonous the rest of the day and start over in the morning. I have to say “this day is only wasted if you give up on it.” Don’t give up on your days.. and that’s easy in January, but be gracious with yourself in July, too.

Moving on.

I woke up at, and then spent the rest of the day lounging around, the Patterson’s house. It was so good to spend a large chunk of time with the kids while I wasn’t babysitting them. In the afternoon, I went to my auntie’s house for a New Years Day party with my family and I fell. in. love.

Her name is Sammi. She is 8. She wants to be a model.. fashion designer.. salon owner. She gladly gave me a pedicure for free. Don’t worry, I gave her an $8 tip.
