Do you know why I haven’t been writing anything? Because everything I want to write is whiny. I can’t figure out how to be honest without being obnoxious or depressing. There’s nothing that pisses me off more than when people use the internet as a therapy tool.
So instead of writing this post, I sent a few e-mails. Did a little bit of meditating. Focused on the Lord. Drank some coffee. Listened to some Phil Wickham.
And all I have to say, really, is this.
Camp teaches us to draw our question marks dot first. Like this:
I know, what does this mean and what does it have to do with anything?
The purpose of the question mark illustration at camp is to teach us to begin with the end in mind; Start knowing how you want to finish. Every day I think about Heaven. It’s been this way for a long time. But suddenly it’s becoming something that gives me life. Which is strange, right? Because to get to Heaven you have to die. But death brings life. and sorrow brings joy, and pain brings strength.
You know who I admire a lot? Katie Helms. She’s one of the best people I know, and recently she wrote about bad days making the good days mean something.
Side note. This came in the mail yesterday:
and you know the best part about it? That plus 5 rolls of film cost me a grand total of…. wait for it…..
Do you see that?
I paid $1.39 for the camera and film. And I will tell you how. But not right now, because I’m feeling a lot more optimistic now that I’ve written a few things down and re-read Katie’s blog.
I had this cool idea of something to add to my blog and I’ll start working on it. Â It will be pretty awesome.
Pray for me.
I think that lovely pink camera could cheer anyone up! Hope you’re having a good day today!!
