Lace and jewels

My last post was full of encouraging quotes and affirmations and this kind of “GO AFTER IT” mentality, right? It was all about bringing out the bold. and chasing your dreams. You know what my big, not-so-secret dream is? To be a full-time blogger who occasionally dabbles in fashion posts. Because hello I love clothes and I feel like if I can use my clothes to help my blogging, then I should always be investing in clothes. That makes sense, right?!

You know how the Bible says that perfect love casts out fear? I’m starting to slowly understand that. I’ve always been nervous about having someone take pictures of my outfits, but somehow Justen makes me feel secure enough for me to ask him to take pictures for my blog. He supports my dream of blogging and sometimes out of nowhere he tells me that I dress cute (CHA-CHING!) and I’m going to be brave and step into that and let him help me.

We decided to head down to Compass Coffee to do some internetting, and I asked him to take a picture of my outfit to share… because it’s super fly, y’all.

Guys, this outfit was DIRT CHEAP. I found the top at Papaya on clearance for $5. The jeans were a Goodwill find for $8. When I saw Mattie post this Kate Spade handbag (VERY similar), I almost started crying because it was SO CUTE. So when I spotted a very similar one at Target (WITH A BOW AND EVERYTHING!) for $11.50, I bought it. The SANDALS, y’all! Last year I became OBSESSED with these super expensive sandals Caitlin posted. Like… I purchased similar ones from JustFab in February, but I saw these ones gracing the shoe rack of TJ Maxx. I watched them and watched them and watched them… and one day, they were on clearance. and I had a $15 gift card, and the grand total of my brand new BCBG sandals was…. $4.

Overall, this outfit (minus the purse, which I use every day so I don’t really count that) cost me $17. Most of my outfits cost me under $20, so I’m excited to start sharing that with y’all!

I’m trying to get back into the blogging groove. Wish me so much luck.

Choose which inspiration quote you think I should end this post with:

A. Dreams don’t work unless you do
B. Don’t stop, get it get it
C. The best way to get things done is to simply begin
D. All of the above
E. Other (you’d better drop it in my comments!)
