January 2017 Goals

Happy New Year!

I can’t believe it’s 2017 already and that I fully lived through 365 days of 2016 AND all the days of 2015, ’14, ’13… and so on and so forth. So many days. So hey, last month I brought back the whole monthly goals thing and realized as I lived through the 31 days of December that I REALLY LOVE having a list of goals. I think in general I like having direction and guidance and guardrails but I lack the discipline to have them in my head. I need them to be written down somewhere to check off and update, which is why my Debt Repayment Recap (minus the time I kind of got derailed) is consistent and one of my most favorite posts to share. I already have the draft of January’s saved – I go through and edit it as I make payments, and it is a game-changer.

I can’t wait to share with you in a few days exactly how I have started carrying my goals around with me so I can edit as I go even without my blog drafts, but for now I want to share with you a sneak peek AND my January Goals!

BUT FIRST.

Let’s look at my December Goals, shall we?

01. Finish reading Harry Potter & the Sorceror’s Stone [12.18.16]
02. Watch Harry Potter & the Sorceror’s Stone [12.25.16]
03. Add 50 things to my Gratitude Journal [I only added 42, but a huge improvement.]
04. Paint my nails [12.19.16]
05. Send 15 Christmas cards [I sent 0 anythings]
06. Try a new recipe [dang. it.]
07. Visit a new coffee shop [Prince Coffee 12.27.16]
08. Take at least one picture with my Instax [maybe I should find my Instax before I go making goals around it]
09. Watch Elf  [12.13.16]
10. Post 6 blogs [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Finished 60% of my list. Not bad for my first month back, but let’s look forward to January.

01. Complete Whole 30
02. Pay off Credit Card
03. Finish Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets + 2 other books {Total Money Makeover}
04. Document an ordinary day in pictures
05. Add 50 things to my gratitude journal (let’s try this again!)
06. Lose 5 lbs 
07. Get my inbox to 0 {1.24.17}
08. De-clutter something
09. Try 2 new recipes {Whole 30 mango chicken + bacon quiche}
10. Send 5 letters

Do y’all have any goals for this month? I think 10 is my magic number. It gives me a good variety of subjects to be aware of, but isn’t an unrealistic amount. And I KNOW I didn’t even try ONE new recipe for December, but y’all I am doing Whole 30 and so I will be trying new stuff.
