Five on Friday

Yo!

Happiest Friday to all of you!

Let me tell you five things, okay?

ONE // Q. U. E. E. N.

My friend Sarah mentioned Janelle Monáe to me awhile ago and for whatever reason I recently remembered that name and decided to look her up and I am basically obsessed with this song and this video. And I recognize that I might be completely behind on this whole thing, but SHE IS SO FREAKING COOL! Kind of like a male Bruno Mars, if you ask me. and Bruno Mars is seriously the coolest.

TWO // WEDDING DRESSES

NOT LIKE THAT. There are a handful of weddings on the horizon, and suddenly I am realizing that weddings are a really great reason to buy new dresses. and so I present to you…. Stephanie wants these dresses, part 1.

Which one is your favorite? They’re all under $30, so they’re fairly inexpensive!

THREE // COFFEE SCRUBS

So y’all should know by now that I’m in love with coffee scrubs. I use them ALL THE TIME. So when I was given the opportunity to try out a professional coffee scrub, I was really excited! It was advertised as a coffee scrub, BUT I think it is more like a salt scrub. Salt! I never thought about putting SALT in my coffee scrubs. For whatever reason, that just seems a lot weirder than sugar. Anyway. It was too gritty for me – I think I could definitely use it on my knees or elbows occasionally, but I did NOT like it as an all over scrub. I guess I’ll just be sticking to my coffee scrub recipe.

FOUR // SUSANNAH!

If you remember, I wrote about my friend Susannah a few Fridays ago. WELL! She just got a whole rebrand on her blog and it looks SO GOOD!  It COMPLETELY matches her, and I’m so excited to see what this new wind does for her blog! Go say hello and let her know what you think.

FIVE // PINWHEELS!

The other day I met my friend Gwen for coffee at this coffeeshop in downtown Vancouver called Boomerang (WHICH IS SO CUTE AND I CAN’T WAIT UNTIL I’M OFF WHOLE 30 TO GO BUY A COCONUT MOCHA FROM THERE) and as I was driving down main street, I noticed there were blue pinwheels ALL OVER the side of the street. I was like FREAKING OUT about them. Well it turns out they’re for Child Abuse Prevention month! It’s amazing how something that seems so small (pinwheels) can make a difference when put together and given purpose, you know?!

I received a product in this blog post in exchange for an honest review, but all opinions (as always) are my own.
