It’s freaking December.
Like… the first day of the last month of 2015. WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. HECK.
Anyway. Two random things on a Tuesday.
ONE // NASHVILLE
Hey, ask  me about my debt repayment.
or actually, please don’t.
Because I might have undone some hard work on my credit card by impulsively buying a plane ticket to Nashville. It was a perfect opportunity – our evening programs will be on winter break, so nobody will miss me, and thanks to my Southwest Rapid Rewards points, I got my flight to Nashville for free. No brainer.
So next Monday I’ll be reunited with the (less and less) teeny tiny loves of my life. Oh goodness, I can’t even wait.
Can’t. freaking. wait.
and then…. then I’m going to seriously bus my butt with some debt repayment. I’m going to do an end-of-year recap, and then I’m going to get this thing moving again in January. Anyone with me?
TWO // SNOW
I freaking hate snow. I say it all the time… SNOW THANK YOU. I’m an only child and I grew up living on a busy street so while the rest of the world has fond memories of snow and playing with their siblings or the kids in their neighborhoods, I just think of snow as a really isolating thing. Think of Elsa’s ice castle, but with more of a Rapunzel plot line going on. A few weeks ago I saw this PERFECT shirt at Victoria’s Secret. I kept thinking about it. I had some money on a gift card I’ve been holding on to since… wait for it… last Christmas, and as I looked at it online I thought.. yes. I’m going to do it. I’m going to do that thing people do that I don’t really understand, and I am going to buy an article of clothing online.
Today, after sitting in my car for five minutes mustering up the strength to get out of the car and brave the cold so that I could check the mail and go inside, MY SHIRT WAS THERE. So naturally I put my shirt on. My friend Gregory, who works at a ski resort in Colorado, keeps sending me pictures of what it looks like. I asked him to please invite me to visit because I had a brilliant answer for him. He hasn’t asked me yet, but I went ahead and sent him this picture as my pre-emptive response.
Also. This is kind of like TWO.5… I got a new planner, just in time for this new month, and it’s amazing! One of the things it has you do is identify a habit you want to develop. So guess what my habit is that I’m going to commit to doing every day for December? FREAKING YOGA. I use the SworkIt app and suddenly, yoga just started clicking. So I’m going to use the SworkIt app to do AT LEAST 5 minutes of yoga every day for the month of December. You should pick a habit, too! But don’t give up coffee because it’s way too freaking cold to be all extreme like that.

It is too cold to give up coffee for sure. I love snow!!! If we got it all the time I’d hate it. And if we didn’t get snow days off school. I was basically an only child because of the age difference between my brothers and I, but I guess my best friend did move into my neighborhood when I was in like fourth grade or something, so I had someone to hang out with. But also that shirt is super cute on you. I feel like you just Insta’d a picture of it in the store and you already got it in the mail?! That is super fast to me.

I am working so so so so so hard on my debt repayment. If I sat down and went over it with you, you’d be so proud. A small blip every once in a while, though, is OKAY! It’s about progress not perfection!
