Song #2: Don’t Wake Her by Ian McGlynn
{listen to it here}
 I was first introduced to Ian McGlynn sometime in 2004.. or maybe 05. His record, Tomorrow’s Taken, had a hand lent by Shane Tutmarc of Dolour, who was my favorite {local} band at the time. I believe it was back in the days of internet forums and such.
I’m pretty sure I downloaded the song for free from Ian’s website and absolutely fell in love with the song. It is haunting and beautiful and I’ve told Ian before that if I could frame a piece of music and put it on my wall to display as art, I’d pick this song.
So many memories are held in my head of leaves falling and rain sliding down windows, and listening to this song.
